The whole office staff is the best that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and it all stems down to Dr. Cheney who is the best dentist I ever had!! Thank you so much!!
Dr. Cheney graduated with his dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed a general practice residency at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1994 and has been working hard to provide excellent dental care ever since. Dr. Cheney and his wife have three sons and one daughter who he loves spending time with. He occasionally runs races for fun. Dr. Cheney is an especially excellent dentist to visit if you haven’t been in quite a while. He will help you feel comfortable while providing the care you need in a timely manner. Dr. Cheney volunteers for the Haiti Health Initiative and the Cache County Health Clinic. He offers dental treatment, and snoring therapy which he does his best to be informed about through continuing education. He is a member of many different dental associations such as The Bridgerland Study Club, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, The Pierre Fauchard Academy, and The American Dental Association (ADA).
I had a wonderful experience at Platinum Dental of Logan. The staff is amazing, Dr. Arnoldson is so gentle and helped me be at ease. He took the time to explain everything too.
Dr. Denim Arnoldson was born and raised in central Utah where he learned the value of hard work and integrity at a young age while working on the family farm. He met his wife while attending Snow College in Ephraim Utah. He graduated with honors from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in public health with dual minors in chemistry and business. Dr. Arnoldson attended dental school at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia. A long-standing and respected program that emphasizes extensive clinical experience. While there he received awards for his research in dental implants. He is board-certified and a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Arnoldson and his family loved their time living in beautiful Nova Scotia and now are delighted to return and put down roots in Cache Valley. He enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors.
Dr. Groen is awesome. I’m usually pretty tense at the dentist but he’s a total professional and super easy to talk to. The appointment was quick and painless and it’s obvious he knows his stuff. Definitely recommend him if you’re looking for someone who actually cares.
Dr. Groen grew up in Bountiful, Utah. Later he married his High school sweetheart and moved to Utah Valley where he completed his bachelors degree in Biology from Utah Vally University. He then attended dental school at Midwestern University in Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Groen loves spending time with his children and wife above all else, but if he can find some time he loves golfing, running, and anything to do with the outdoors! He loves dentistry and learning and is in loved with various mastermind and study clubs to continuously hone his dentistry.

Dr. Hall is absolutely incredible! He treated me just like family and was so genuinely kind and respectful. His skills are top-notch and he truly cares about you as a person, not just a patient. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more compassionate surgeon!
As an Ogden, Utah native, Dr. V. Patrick Hall found his greatest joy as a member of the competitive soccer team Ogden United. Dr. Hall’s coaches, teammates, and their families helped shape his future by instilling in him the values of grit, respect, and leadership. During high school, Dr. Hall developed a passion for automotive mechanics while rebuilding a ’64 Chevy pickup truck with his older brother. Following high school graduation, he managed multiple Jiffy Lube locations and then became an oral surgery surgical assistant along his way to graduating from Weber State University with high honors. Dr. Hall attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and a perfect 4.0 GPA. During his tenure, he served on class councils, tutored fellow students, and published multiple research projects alongside faculty mentors. He presented his research at both local and national levels, earning several awards and grants. He also worked extensively within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department, where his desire to become a surgeon truly took root. He subsequently matched into his top-ranked program at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he completed four years of specialized training and served as Chief Resident during his final year. During his residency, Dr. Hall continued to conduct research that reached national publications. His time at VCU served as a “refiner’s fire,” sharpening and honing his surgical abilities. VCU’s rigorous, hospital-based program allowed him to train under world-renowned surgeons, who taught him the art and science of surgery as well as many life long professional and personal lessons. Residency solidified his lifelong passion for the field. Extensive opportunities to serve communities both locally and internationally throughout his training and development also instilled within Dr. Hall a deep desire to care for others. Through this service, he has developed a profound compassion for all people, striving to “see the person beyond the disease” as he desires to heal both soul and body. He operates on the foundational belief that serving others—both his own family and his “brothers and sisters” in the community—is the most fulfilling work he will ever do. As a surgeon, Dr. Hall’s goal is to treat every patient like a member of his own family—with openness, dignity, respect and the highest standard of care. He believes patients should be active, educated participants in their healthcare journeys to ensure their goals and outcomes are met. Dr. Hall’s clinical interests include full-mouth rehabilitation with dental implants and bone grafting, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, and the treatment of benign pathologic diseases. His expertise also extends to wisdom tooth removal and cosmetic facial surgery, including rhytidectomy (facelifts), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), facial implants, brow lifts, neuromodulators, and dermal fillers. The final 14 years of Dr. Hall’s 26-year educational journey were made infinitely sweeter by his roles as a husband to his high school sweetheart Melissa and a father to their four beautiful children. Together, the Hall family enjoys sports and exploring nature, whether snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, biking, or camping. If you see Dr. Hall cheering intensely for a local sports team—especially his children—know that his passion stems from a place of love and childhood nostalgia. He deeply admires his wife and children and strives to emulate the quality of people they are. Dr. Hall’s understanding of the greatness of humanity is founded upon his firm testimony in his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his Heavenly Father.
Dr. Reid is an excellent orthodontist who truly listens and explains everything clearly. His friendly approach and attention to detail made my experience easy and comfortable. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Reid grew up in a family of six children, in Irvine, California. After serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, he attended Brigham Young University. Upon graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Nutritional Science, Dr. Reid attended the number one dental school in the country: the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. While at Michigan, he had the privilege to travel to Africa to provide dental services and oral health education to the underserved adolescent population of rural Kenya. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Reid moved to the deep south to complete a hospital-based residency program for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Reid then moved to Georgia to complete his orthodontic specialty training at the Georgia School of Orthodontics. In his free time, you can find Dr. Reid spending plenty of time outdoors. He is an avid and competitive soccer player, frequent hiker, and aggressive snowboarder. He loves golfing, going to the beach, playing the guitar, and rooting for BYU and Michigan sports teams. Dr. Reid is married to his lovely wife, Lauren, and together they have five beautiful children—three girls and two boys.
I’m usually pretty nervous about dental work, but Dr. Rey and his team were great. He’s very gentle and took the time to answer all my questions. The office is efficient and I didn’t have to wait long. If you’re looking for a periodontist who actually listens, he’s the one.
Dr. Rey started his journey to becoming a periodontist by working as a dental assistant for a periodontist prior to starting dental school. His desire to take on a dental assisting job early in his career gave him the opportunity to learn directly in a clinical setting. Observing how an experienced clinician treated patients with genuine care and attention helped shape Dr. Rey’s understanding of what exceptional care should look like. This experience helped shape the kind of clinician he wanted to become and also helped him find a love for the surgical side of dentistry. Now, years later after earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry, completing a 36-month Advanced Dental Education Program in Periodontics at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, and earning a Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontics degree at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, he provides periodontal care for patients through Platinum Dental Services. In addition to clinical care, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University. With a dedication to lifelong learning, Dr. Rey seeks to improve dental education through educational research. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Western Society of Periodontics, and values the collaboration and continued growth that come from associating with other dental professionals. Most importantly, Dr. Rey is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with his patients. He believes excellent care begins with listening and strives to ensure each patient feels understood, supported, and confident in their path to oral health. Beyond clinical and academic work, Dr. Rey is honored and grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, basketball, swimming, playing guitar, and singing.
